When did Contempee start?

Contempee was established in April 2021, following the founders, Thomas and his partner, moving into their first home together. Their shared journey of decorating their home ignited a deep interest in the realm of interior design, particularly contemporary home decor. It was this mutual passion that gave rise to the creation of Contempee.

Who are Contempee?

Contempee is a contemporary homeware e-commerce brand specialising in faux floral arrangements and vases. With a strong passion for interior design, Contempee is dedicated to offering affordable luxury, making beautiful home decor accessible to everyone. Our product range includes Scandi, minimalist, Japandi, and boho styles, providing a modern approach to home decor. Serving both individual customers and businesses, we collaborate with various spas, hotels, and restaurants, enhancing their interiors with the distinctive touch of Contempee products.

Where it all started

Rapidly expanding beyond the confines of a spare room, Contempee initially operated from a modest 250-square-foot storage unit. Over the past two years, the business has successively outgrown four units and, most recently, transitioned into a spacious 7000-square-foot warehouse. This remarkable progression—from 250 to 7000 square feet in just two years—is a substantial leap for Contempee.

"In just under 18 months, I went from packing parcels in the spare room to a 250 square foot storage unit and then a 2000 square foot warehouse with several staff members. I thought that the warehouse would be big enough for the next two years of growth but I was wrong!
